Florida State vs. Louisville Pick
Will Florida State and Louisville play to a shootout on Saturday when the two teams clash at 12:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seminoles are 2-point road favorites versus the Cardinals while the over/under currently sits at 65 points. While the total hasn't moved off the original number posted by oddsmakers, Florida State has gone from a 3.5-point opening favorite down to -2.
FLORIDA STATE: The Seminoles are 2-0 to start the season, beating Ole MIss 45-34 in comeback fashion in the opening week and Charleston Southern 52-8 last Saturday. Quarterback Deondre Francois has thrown for 681 yards in two games while running back Dalvin Cook has rushed for 174 yards. Travis Rudolph leads the Seminoles with 179 receiving yards and three total touchdowns.
LOUISVILLE: The Cardinals scored 70 points in their opener against Charlotte and then an additional 62 points last week at Syracuse. Louisville is now 2-0 both straight up and against the spread, covering as a 38.5-point favorite and a 17-point favorite, respectively. Quarterback Lamar Jackson leads the team in passing (697 yards), rushing (318 yards) and total touchdowns (six). Jamari Staples also has 219 receiving yards to lead Louisville.
OUR PICK: Florida State isn't Charlotte or Syracuse from a defensive standpoint and will provide much more resistance for Jackson and Louisville. That said, after the Cardinals hung 70 points and 62 points in their first two games, respectively, there's no reason to take the under in this matchup with so much offensive firepower on both sides. The over is 4-0 in the Cardinals' last four conference games, is 6-1 in their last seven games overall, and is 4-1 in their lat five games coming off a win.
