Colorado vs. Michigan Pick
Will No. 4 Michigan continue to pile up the points when the Wolverines host Colorado on Saturday at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan is the favorite in this game on Saturday. The Wolverines are currently getting odds of -20.5 points against Colorado. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 57 points. These two teams haven’t met since the 1997 season when Michigan picked up a 27-3 win at home. These two have hit the under in their last two encounters.
Michigan is off to a dominant 2-0 start thanks to 63-3 win over Hawaii and a 51-14 win over Central Florida. The Wolverines have covered in both games and hit the over in both. Michigan has now hit the over in 10 straight games. The Wolverines have been solid in all areas of the game. They are averaging 479.5 yards per game thanks to 267 passing yards and 212.5 rushing yards per game. On defense, Michigan is allowing just 281.5 yards per game and limiting opponents to 103.5 passing yards per contest. Wilton Speight has looked comfortable at QB thus far, throwing for 457 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the offense.
Colorado is off to a good start in 2016. The Buffaloes defeated Colorado State 44-7 in the opener and then topped Idaho State 56-7 last week. The Buffaloes have covered in both wins while splitting the over/under total. Colorado has even more impressive numbers than Michigan right now, as they are putting up 587.5 yards of offense while allowing just 160.5 yards per contest. Sefo Liufau has thrown for 522 yards and three touchdowns to lead this offense while Phillip Lindsay has rushed for 125 yards and four scores.
Things should be interesting in this game, as both teams have played comparable opponents and both have been rolling, especially on offense. Both teams have been very strong on defense as well, but that should change this week. Look for each teams to get beat for some big plays and each offense to be checked on occasion as well. This game should be high-scoring, however. Look for Michigan to maybe have a 2-to-1 edge in scoring, but the total to ultimately hit.
