Michigan has yet to appear in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Wolverines last conference title came in 2004. The Wolverines are coming off a 10-3 2015 season in Jim Harbaugh’s debut as coach. However, they lost to both Big Ten rivals in Ohio State and Michigan State. The Wolverines have a relatively light schedule, but do make road trips to both MSU and Ohio State late in the season.

Ohio State has appeared in the conference title game twice, winning in 2014. The Buckeyes were 12-1 last season, finishing 7-1 in conference play. Ohio State will face Oklahoma in non-conference play this year, but make road trips to Wisconsin, Penn State and MSU in Big Ten play while getting to host Nebraska and Michigan.

Michigan State is a two-time winner of the Big Ten Championship Game and the defending champion. The Spartans were 12-2 for the 2015 season while going 7-1 in the Big Ten.
