Auburn’s Johnson 12/1 to win Heisman
AUBURN, AL (The Spread) – After having what his coach described as an “outstanding spring,” Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson could be in the Heisman mix for 2015.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Johnson is 12/1 to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy, which gives him the same odds as USC signal-caller Cody Kessler. Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott is the current Heisman favorite at 6/1.
Back in May, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said Johnson had an “outstanding spring” while competing with Jason Smith, Tyler Queen and Sean White for the right to start under center for the Tigers this season. Malzahn also noted that Johnson had been “taking charge” and noted that “this is his team.”
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound junior was once 20/1 to win the Heisman Trophy but his odds have climbed as the expectations for Johnson continue to climb.
