(The Spread) – With Everrett Golson suspended for the year, what are the latest odds to win the 2013 Heisman Trophy?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Texas A&M quarterback and reining Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is favored at 17/4 to win this year’s Heisman. Ohio State signal-caller Braxton Miller has the next best odds at 13/2, while Alabama QB A.J. McCarron is now 9/1 to win this year’s Hesiman.
Continuing with the updated odds, Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon is 10/1 to win, while Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray is 12/1, as is Louisville signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater. Meanwhile, Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas, Miami RB Duke Johnson, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and USC receiver Marquis Lee are all 14/1, respectively, to win this year’s Heisman.
Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and Clemson signal-caller Tajh Boyd are both 16/1, respectively, while Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez is 18/1. Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk is 20/1, Martinez’s teammate Ameer Abdullah is 25/1, as are Brett Hundley of UCLA and Stephen Morris of Miami.
Some of the long shots to win the award this year are Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner, who is 33/1, and Blake Bell of Oklahoma, who is 40/1. Florida’s Jeff Driskel, Arizona’s Ka’Deem Carey, and Maryland receiver Stefon Diggs are all 40/1, respectively.
