Yellow Jackets dominate Rainbow Warriors
Georgia Tech cruised to a 70-53 victory Wednesday night over Hawaii in the Diamond Head Classic to improve to 6-6 overall and 2-2 on the road. The Yellow Jackets outscored the Rainbow Warriors 41-21 in the second half after trailing by three at halftime. Michael Devoe led Georgia Tech with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He also registered four assists and four steals. Moses Wright accounted for 16 points, three rebounds and two steals. James Banks III tallied 11 points, six boards and two steals.
Seminoles roll past Lions
Florida State cruised to an 88-71 victory Saturday over North Alabama to improve to 11-2 overall and 7-0 at home. The Seminoles led 47-26 at halftime on their way to the win. Malik Osborne paced FSU with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance. He also pulled down four rebounds. Balsa Koprivica tallied 13 points and three boards off the bench. Patrick Williams accounted for 12 points, three caroms and three assists. Anthony Polite had 11 points in 15 minutes of action. Trent Forrest added 10 points, six dimes and four rebounds.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Yellow Jackets are 6-0 ATS in their last six games as a road underdog. Georgia Tech is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 Tuesday games.
The Seminoles are 16-4-1 ATS in its last 21 Tuesday games. Florida State is 1-4 ATS in its last five games overall.
The Seminoles have perhaps not played up to their full potential this season, but have still won most of their games and have an incredibly deep roster. Perhaps FSU might be better if they occasionally shortened the rotation, but they have so many quality players it's difficult to do. The Yellow Jackets are an inconsistent team barely inside the top 100 and with the early start time on the road, I think the best play here is on Florida State.
