Aztecs stay unbeaten

San Diego State dominated visiting San Diego Christian to the tune of 92-48 Tuesday night at home to improve to 11-0 overall and 6-0 at home. The Aztecs led 45-27 at halftime en route to the victory. Yanni Wetzell led San Diego State with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also registered six rebounds and two steals. K.J. Feagin accounted for 12 points, eight assists, four boards and two steals. Malachi Flynn had 10 points, six dimes, two rebounds and two steals. Jordan Schakel added 10 points, three caroms and two steals.

Utes slip past Wildcats

Utah earned a big win Wednesday night over Kentucky by a count of 69-66 in Las Vegas to improve to 9-2 on the season. The Utes led 35-31 at halftime and held on after the break. Timmy Allen led Utah with 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting plus 9-of-12 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for nine rebounds and four assists. Both Gach contributed 14 points and six boards. Rylan Jones had 12 points, six dimes and two rebounds. Riley Battin added 10 points, two caroms and two assists.

Prediction:

The Aztecs have played some cream puffs but also has three wins over top 50 teams with two being by double digits. While the Utes are riding a high coming into this game, they are also inconsistent and have major issues on the defensive end. I trust San Diego State to play a complete game here and I think it will be enough to overwhelm Utah.
