Mountain Hawks drop fifth straight

Lehigh suffered a 78-65 home loss last Saturday night versus Yale to drop to 3-7 overall and 2-2 at home. The Mountain Hawks trailed 41-32 at halftime on their way to the defeat. Jeameril Wilson led Lehigh with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also tallied six rebounds. James Karnik accounted for 15 points, five boards and two steals. Jordan Cohen added 12 points, five caroms and five assists.

Tigers get past Wolfpack

Auburn secured a 79-73 home win Thursday night over North Carolina State to move to 10-0 overall and 5-0 at home. The Tigers outscored the Wolfpack 41-36 in the second half to pull away. Samir Doughty led Auburn with 24 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point range plus 9--of-12 at the free throw line. He also registered four assists, four steals and two rebounds. J'Von McCormick had 14 points, four boards and three assists. Austin Wiley added 10 points, eight caroms, three steals and three blocked shots.

Prediction:

The Tigers have played a reasonable but not overly difficult schedule and thrived, but its last two wins haven't exactly been overwhelming. The Mountain Hawks might be their weakest opponent to date, but the spread is gigantic and Lehigh is battle-tested with an 11-point loss at a solid St. Mary's squad. I'm taking the points here as Auburn has bigger fish to fry and doesn't need to be totally dominant here to walk away with a straight up win.
