The Hokies are pretty strong on both sides of the ball thus far. They are averaging 82 points per game on offense while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 44.9 percent from the arc. College Basketball Betting Trends
Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech has covered the spread in six of its last eight non-conference games, but just 1-8 ATS in their last nine games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game.
Washington
Washington is 5-1 against the spread in their last six Saturday games, but 2-8 ATS in their last 10 following a win.
Prediction:
These two met last season, with Virginia Tech rolling past Washington. The Hokies earned a 103-79 win over the Huskies. Washington has had two of its three losses come by two points. The Hokies have strong numbers, but don’t seem to be as battle tested as the Huskies. Tech’s toughest games are against Penn State and Purdue while Washington has faced Gonzaga, Minnesota, Texas A&M and Auburn. I think those games will allow the Huskies to be competitive tonight.
College Basketball Prediction: Washington +7.5
