Bulldogs roll past Gators

Butler raced to a 76-62 victory Saturday over Florida to improve to 9-0 overall and 6-0 at home. The Bulldogs led 35-26 at halftime and continued to pad the lead after the break. Sean McDermott paced Butler with 16 points on 4-of-9 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-5 at the free throw line. He also accounted for seven rebounds and three assists. Aaron Thompson tallied 16 points, seven assists and four boards. Jordan Tucker had 13 points and three rebounds off the bench. Kamar Baldwin added 12 points and six dimes.

Bears hold off Wildcats

Baylor picked up a 63-58 victory Saturday afternoon at home over Arizona to move to 7-1 overall and 4-0 at home. The Bears led 35-24 at halftime before holding off a Wildcats rally after the break. MaCio Teague paced Baylor with 19 points on 4-of-12 shooting including 2-of-8 from 3-point distance plus 9-of-10 at the charity stripe. He also racked up seven rebounds and two steals. Freddie Gillespie tallied 17 points, 13 boards and five blocked shots. Jared Butler added 13 points and three boards.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Bulldogs are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Butler is 4-10 ATS in its last 14 Tuesday games.

The Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Baylor is 4-0 ATS in its last four games versus a team with a winning straight up record.

The Bears are coming off a solid home win over Arizona and now face arguably an even tougher opponent here. The last four Bulldogs wins have have come against top 100 opponents and they have five total wins over top 100 squads. Butler is outstanding on the offensive end and I see it putting forth a tremendous effort here. This one could go down to the wire and I'll take the points.
