Buffaloes stay unbeaten
Colorado earned a 76-64 win at home Wednesday night over Maryland Marymount to improve to 7-0 overall and 4-0 at home. The Buffaloes outscored the Lions 46-30 in the second half to pull away. McKinley Wright IV paced Colorado with 16 points on 4-of-10 shooting plus 8-of-11 at the free throw line. He also racked up six rebounds, five assists and two steals. D'Shawn Schwartz tallied 16 points, three dimes and two boards. Tyler Bey contributed 13 points, eight caroms and five blocked shots. Daylen Kountz added 11 points in 16 minutes off the bench.
Jayhawks win Maui title
Kansas earned a 90-84 victory in overtime 10 days ago over Dayton to take the Maui Invitational title. The Jayhawks (6-1) outscored the Flyers 37-36 in the second half and 17-11 in the extra session. Devon Dotson paced Kansas with 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 8-of-10 at the charity stripe. He also notched six rebounds, five steals and four assists. Udoka Azuibuike registered 29 points, four blocked shots and three boards. Marcus Garrett added 18 points, seven caroms and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Buffaloes are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. Colorado is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 games as an underdog.
The Jayhawks are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games. Kansas is 1-4 ATS in its last five Saturday games.
The Jayhawks have had a nice start to the season, but will have some rust to shake off here as they have not played since November 27. I think the Buffaloes are good enough to take advantage. While Colorado has not played the toughest of schedules, it does have two top 100 victories and all but one of its seven wins have been by double digits. Look for a spirited effort by the Buffaloes tonight to stay within the number.
