Tigers dominate Raiders

Auburn cruised to a 91-62 victory at home in a regional game of the Legends Classic a week ago. The Tigers (5-0) led 53-21 at halftime en route to the win. Samir Doughty paced Auburn with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 4-of-9 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also registered three rebounds and two assists. J'Von McCormick contributed 14 points, eight assists, three boards and two steals. Austin Wiley tallied 13 points and 10 caroms. Isaac Okoro had 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Danjel Purifoy added 11 points and three boards.

Lobos down rival Aggies

New Mexico edged host New Mexico State 78-77 Thursday night as Carlton Bragg Jr. hit the go-ahead free throws with 43.9 seconds left. The Lobos (5-1) outscored the Aggies 41-38 in the second half of the victory. Makuach Maluach paced New Mexico with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also grabbed three rebounds. Bragg Jr. added 14 points, six boards and four steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last five neutral site games. Auburn is 7-2 ATS in its last nine games overall.

New Mexico

The Lobos are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine Monday games. New Mexico is 6-14-1 ATS in its last 21 non-conference games.

The Tigers have dominated their last two games including against a fairly decent Colgate squad and does have a 10-point win over a top-100 squad in Davidson on a neutral site to their credit. New Mexico is not quite as good as Davidson on paper and its biggest weakness is on the defensive side. Against an Auburn squad that thrives on having an efficient offense, I don't see the Lobos getting enough stops to hang in there.
