Spartans throttled by Zips

South Carolina Upstate lost by a count of 76-45 Monday night at Akron to drop to 1-4 on the season and 0-4 on the road. The Spartans trailed 32-21 at halftime and continued to struggle after the break. South Carolina Upstate was led by Tommy Bruner as he scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point range. He also grabbed two rebounds. Dalvin White contributed seven points and two assists, while Mykayle Carter added seven points in 11 minutes off the bench.

Cardinals blast Eagles

Louisville cruised to an 87-58 home win Sunday over North Carolina Central to improve to 4-0 overall and 3-0 at home. The Cardinals led 43-19 at halftime en route to the easy victory. Jordan Nwora paced Louisville with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the free throw line. He also pulled down three rebounds. Steven Enoch accounted for 15 points, five boards and two dimes. Dwayne Sutton tallied points and five caroms. Darius Perry added 11 points, seven assists and two rebounds.

College Basketball Betting Trends

South Carolina Upstate

The Spartans are 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 non-conference games. South Carolina Upstate is 1-4 ATS in its last five Wednesday games.

The Cardinals are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games. Louisville is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games following a straight up win.

This is of course a gigantic spread, but the Spartans just got hammered by an Akron team outside the top 100. It's going to be a lot more difficult here and the Cardinals have at least beaten one decent team in Miami (FL) already while pasting three other mediocre teams that are at least better than SC Upstate. This is going to get ugly fast and I could see this spread even being a point or two higher while still having interest. Lay the points here.
