Villanova National Title Betting Trends
With tonight's NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship set to tip-off at 9:19PM ET, here's a look the betting trends centered on Villanova.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Wildcats are 2.5-point underdogs versus the Tar Heels for tonight's game while the over/under has dropped from 151 down to 149.5.
Villanova is 5-0 against the spread in its last five NCAA Tournament games and is 10-2 against the number in its last 12 games after scoring more than 90 points in its previous game. The Wildcats are also 35-14-2 against the spread in their last 51 non-conference games.
The 'Cats have had quite the impressive run in this year's NCAA Tournament, both straight up and against the spread. They covered as a 17.5-point favorite in an 86-56 win over NC-Asheville in the first round before routing Iowa 87-68 as a 6-point fave in round two.
When they reached the Sweet 16, they crushed Miami 92-69 as a 4-point favorite and then the only other time in this year's tournament that they were an underdog, the Wildcats beat Kansas 64-59 as a 2-point dog. In their Final Four matchup with Oklahoma, Villanova cruised to a 95-51 win as a 2.5-point favorite.
