The Boilermakers rolled to a 43-24 halftime advantage on the way to the win. Purdue shot 29-of-54 from the floor, 16-of-30 from 3-point distance plus 13-of-16 at the free throw line. Carsen Edwards poured in 42 points on 12-of-21 shooting including 9-of-16 from 3-point range plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line to pace the Boilermakers. He also contributed six rebounds. Matt Haarms tallied 18 points, nine boards and two assists. Ryan Cline added 12 points, four rebounds and four dimes.
Vols prevail in OT
Tennessee blew a 21-point halftime lead Saturday afternoon against Iowa in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, but rebounded to win 83-77 after the game went to overtime. The Volunteers led 49-28 at halftime before the collapse sent it into OT at 71-71, but refocused to outscore the Hawkeyes 12-6 in the extra session. Tennessee shot 28-of-60 from the field, 8-of-20 from 3-point range plus 19-of-23 at the free throw line. Purdue

Tennessee
The Volunteers is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Thursday games. Tennessee is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 games overall.
Prediction:
I'm not entirely sure I trust either of these programs in a big game, but Tennessee gives me more cause for concern after its second-half woes against Iowa. The Boilermakers eased past a good Villanova squad and have a dead-eye shooter in Edwards who is coming off a fantastic game. I like Edwards' odds to have another prime performance to lead a Purdue team that has enough other playmakers to complement him. The Vols have a veteran squad, but often lack a knockout instinct. I'm going with Purdue here to continue its stellar play and cover this spread.
