Pirates edged by Wildcats

Seton Hall suffered a 79-77 home loss Wednesday night at home versus Villanova to drop to 21-8 overall and 13-4 in conference play. The Pirates trailed 33-30 at halftime on their way to the defeat. Quincy McKnight accounted for 16 points, seven assists and six boards. Myles Powell added 14 points, eight dimes and four rebounds.

Creighton earned a 91-76 home win Wednesday night over Georgetown to improve to 23-7 overall and 12-5 in Big East action. The Bluejays raced out to a 48-33 haftime advantage en route to the triumph. College Basketball Betting Trends

Seton Hall

The underdog is 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings. The road team is 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings.

The Bluejays are 18-10 ATS this season. Three of the last five meetings have gone over the total.

There is a lot of pressure on Seton Hall to get it done today and win the conference title outright, but it is a roster that has veteran presences that should be able to rise to the occasion in this spot. The afternoon start might not be ideal, but after losing by five to the Bluejays at home last month I see this as a revenge spot. Both teams are highly motivated, but Powell is the best scorer on the court and a few big buckets by him down the stretch could make all the difference.
