Buffaloes stumble at Golden Bears

Colorado lost 76-62 Thursday night at California to drop to 21-8 overall and 10-6 in conference action. The Buffaloes trailed 38-26 at halftime and were unable to rally back. McKinley Wright IV paced Colorado with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also registered six rebound and four assists. Tyler Bey contributed 13 points, six boards and two assists. Lucas Siewert added 11 points and three caroms off the bench.

Cardinal down Utes

Stanford earned a 70-62 home victory Wednesday night over Utah to improve to 19-9 overall and 8-7 in the Pac-12. The Cardinal led 34-22 at halftime on their way to the triumph. Tyrell Terry poured in 27 points to lead Stanford on 8-of-14 shooting including 7-of-11 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for three rebounds and three steals. Oscar da Silva tallied 20 points, seven boards and two assists. Jaiden Delaire added 11 points in 19 minutes of action off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Buffaloes are 16-39-1 ATS in their last 56 games as a road underdog. Colorado is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games.

The Cardinal are 25-10 ATS in their last 35 games as a home favorite. Stanford is 7-22 ATS in its last 29 Sunday games.

The loss by the Buffaloes at a mediocre California squad three days ago is very concerning, especially with it being their second straight loss to a subpar opponent. It doens't get any easier tonight against a Stanford squad that is putting itself in the NCAA Tournament bubble talk with three straight wins. Tonight is the kind of signature win over a ranked opponent that would go a long way for the Cardinal. Stanford lost 81-74 earlier this season at the Buffaloes, but I think they get their revenge here.
