Beavers edged by Sun Devils

Oregon State lost by a 74-73 score Saturday at Arizona State to drop to 15-12 overall and 5-10 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Beavers were outscored 37-33 in the second half after leading by three at the break. Tres Tinkle led OSU with 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He also accounted for nine rebounds and two assists. Ethan Thompson added 20 points, seven dimes, four boards and two steals.

Ducks down Wildcats in OT

Oregon secured a 73-72 overtime victory Saturday night at Arizona to improve to 21-7 overall and 10-5 in conference action. The Ducks were outscored 31-28 in the second half, but rebounded to outscore the Wildcats 9-8 in the extra session. Payton Pritchard paced Oregon with a career-best 38 points on 12-of-27 shooting including 6-of-14 from 3-point range plus 8-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also notched six rebounds and four assists. Shakur Juiston tallied 14 points, six boards and three assists. Anthony Mathis added 11 points and two steals off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Oregon State

The Beavers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as a road underdog. Oregon State is 2-7 ATS in its last nine Thursday games.

The Ducks are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 home games. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.

While this is a revenge game for Oregon, it is coming off an emotional win on the road and rivalry games tend to be closely contested. With the Beavers looking forward to nothing more than one of the additional postseason tournaments, this is like a championship game for them tonight. While I'd still certainly expect Oregon to get the job done on the moneyline, I like OSU to keep it close enough to make its bettors happy.
