Red Raiders dominate Cyclones

Texas Tech rolled to an 87-57 win Saturday night at Iowa State to improve to 18-9 overall and 9-5 in the Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders led 51-35 at halftime and continued to pad the lead after the break. Jahmius Ramsey led Texas Tech with 25 points on 11-of-22 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also notched seven assists, five rebounds and two steals. Kyler Edwards accounted for 19 points, five boards and four assists. T.J. Holyfied added 10 points, four blocked shots and three caroms.

Sooners lose third in a row

Oklahoma lost 83-66 at rival Oklahoma State Saturday to drop to 16-11 overall and 6-8 in conference action. The Sooners were outscored 41-30 in the second half of the defeat. Austin Reaves led Oklahoma with 24 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 1-of-5 from 3-point range plus 11-of-13 at the charity stripe. He also recorded seven rebounds and two assists. Kristian Doolittle contributed 11 points and five boards. Devion Harmon added 11 points and four caroms off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win. The road team is 2-8-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

The Sooners are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games. The favorite is 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.

Texas Tech downed Oklahoma 69-61 at home on February 4 and that started a stretch where it has won five out of six games. The Red Raiders are locked in defensively and as long as they get enough offensive production, they are typically in great shape. After Oklahoma did not fare well against its rivals it might come out a bit lackluster here. On such a short spread, I like Texas Tech's chances to make enough plays down the stretch to get the job done.
