Wildcats dominate Cowboys
Kansas State rolled to an 85-46 home win Saturday afternoon over Oklahoma State to improve to 21-6 overall and 11-3 in the Big 12. The Wildcats raced out to a 42-18 halftime advantage on their way to the easy win. Kansas State shot 32-of-52 from the floor, 10-of-20 from 3-point range and 11-of-17 at the free throw line. Xavier Sneed helped lead a balanced KSU scoring attack with 12 points in 19 minutes. Austin Trice tallied 12 points and five rebounds off the bench. Kamau Stokes accounted for 11 points, four boards and two assists. Barry Brown Jr. contributed 10 points, seven caroms, three assists and three steals. Shaun Neal-Williams added 10 points, six assists and two rebounds as a reserve.
Jayhawks hammered by Red Raiders
Kansas lost by a count of 91-62 Saturday at Texas Tech to drop to 20-7 overall and 9-5 in conference play. The Jayhawks trailed 45-20 at halftime en route to the defeat. Kansas shot 22-of-48 from the floor, 9-of-21 from 3-point range plus 9-of-12 at the free throw line. Dedric Lawson was the lone Jayhawks player in double figures for scoring as he scored 14 points on 3-of-8 shooting including 1-of-1 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also pulled down five rebounds.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. Kansas State is 27-11 ATS in its last 38 games overall.
The Jayhawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five Monday games. The favorite is 18-6-2 ATS in the last 26 meetings.
At this point of the season, I'm a lot more ready to throw money on Kansas State as an underdog rather than an unpredictable Kansas team as a favorite. The Wildcats might occasionally struggle on the offensive end, but the defense keeps them in almost all games. I'd have to imagine the Jayhawks are still reeling from their blowout loss over the weekend and I think KSU can take advantage.
