Nittany Lions falls to Fighting Illini

Penn State lost 62-56 Tuesday night at home versus Illinois to drop to 20-6 overall 10-6 in the Big Ten Conference. The Nittany Lions trailed 30-26 at halftime and could not recover. Lamar Stevens led PSU with 13 points on 3-of-11 shooting plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also registered nine rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Izaiah Brockington added 10 points, two assists and two steals off the bench.

Indiana secured a 68-56 win Wednesday night at Minnesota to improve to 17-9 overall and 7-8 in conference action. The Hoosiers outscored the Golden Gophers 40-25 in the second half after trailing by three at the break. Trayce Jackson-Davis paced IU with career-highs of 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting plus 5-of-9 at the charity stripe to go with 16 rebounds and two blocked shots. College Basketball Betting Trends

Penn State

The road team is 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings. The Nittany Lions are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 February games.

The Hoosiers are 2-1 ATS in the last three meetings. Two of the last three meetings have gone under the total.

While this is a revenge spot for Penn State, it also beat the Hoosiers by a comfortable 15 at their place and are a bit salty after having their eight-game win streak snapped. Indiana has had an inconsistent year and are losers of five of their last seven straight up. I feel comfortable playing a Penn State team that gets after it defensively and totally had the Hoosiers out of sync not that long ago.
