Fresno coming off loss

Fresno State is coming off a 64-61 loss at home to Air Force, snapping a three-game win streak. The Bulldogs are now 19-7 on the season, 10-4 in the Mountain West Conference, 6-2 on the road, 15-9-1 against the spread and 13-12 with the under.

The Bulldogs are pretty solid on both sides of the court. They are giving up 66.8 points per game on defense while holding opponents to just 29.5 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, Fresno State is putting up 76.0 points per game while shooting 45.3 percent as a team. Braxton Huggins is leading the team with 19.0 points per game while Deshon Taylor is adding 16.8 points and 4.5 assists per contest.

Nevada upset on the road

Nevada is coming off a 65-57 loss at San Diego State on Wednesday to end its long win streak. The Wolf Pack had covered the spread in six straight games prior to that. Nevada is now 24-2 overall, 11-2 in the Mountain West, 12-0 at home, 16-8-1 against the spread and 16-9 with the under.

The Wolf Pack are putting up 81.5 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.6 percent from the floor. Defensively, Nevada is giving up just 65.8 points per game while holding opponents to 40.1 percent shooting. Caleb Martin has been leading the team with 19.1 points per game while Jordan Caroline is adding 18.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Fresno State

The Bulldogs are 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine road games and 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss.

Nevada

Nevada is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven conference games and 43-20-3 ATS in their last 66 home games.

Prediction:

Nevada earned a 74-64 win at Fresno State on Jan. 12 and the Wolf Pack have covered the spread in four straight in this series. Nevada looked awful at San Diego State this week and I trust them to bounce back in a big way more than Fresno on the road. After their last loss, Nevada ended up winning by 39 in its next game and then defeated Fresno by 10.

College Basketball Prediction: Nevada -12.5
