Michigan secured a 65-52 home victory Saturday afternoon over Maryland to improve to 23-3 overall and 12-3 in conference action. The Wolverines established a 27-18 halftime advantage and continued to pull away after the break. Charles Matthews paced U-M with 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting. He also pulled down six rebounds. Ignas Brazdeikis accounted for 13 points, five boards and two assists. Zavier Simpson added 12 points, eight dimes, five rebounds and two steals. Michigan shot 25-of-59 from the field, 7-of-26 on 3-point tries and 8-of-10 at the free throw line.

Golden Gophers snap three-game skid

Minnesota shot 28-of-58 from the floor, 12-of-22 on 3-point attempts and 16-of-23 at the charity stripe. College Basketball Betting Trends

The Wolverines are 37-14-2 ATS in their last 53 Thursday games. Michigan is 17-7 ATS in its last 24 road games.

The Golden Gophers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight Big Ten games. Minnesota is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 games versus a team with a winning road record.

The last time the Wolverines played on the road, they lost 75-69 at Penn State. Michigan has also lost three of its last five road games straight up. With Michigan State on deck, this looks like a bad situation against a Golden Gophers team that is competent and coming off a convincing win following a stretch of games against tough opponents. Additionally, it took a basket at the buzzer for the Wolverines to down Minnesota by a count of 59-57 back on Jan. 22.
