Wildcats dominate Vols

Kentucky blasted previously top-ranked Tennessee by a score of 86-69 Saturday night to improve to 21-4 overall and 10-2 in the Southeastern Conference. The Wildcats shot 29-of-53 from the floor, 5-of-13 from 3-point range and 23-of-33 at the free throw line. Kentucky outscored the visitors 49-37 in the second half to secure the win. P.J. Washington paced UK with 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 4-of-7 at the free throw line. He also accounted for five rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Keldon Johnson tallied 19 points and four boards. Tyler Herro contributed 15 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Reid Travis added 11 points, eight caroms and two blocks.

Tigers fall short at Ole Miss

Missouri suffered a 75-65 defeat Saturday at the Rebels to fall to 12-12 overall and 3-9 in conference play. The Tigers trailed 35-26 at halftime and were unable to recover. Missouri shot 24-of-51 from the field, 8-of-17 on 3-point tries and 9-of-12 at the free throw line. Jordan Geist led the Tigers with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also tallied four rebounds and two steals. Xavier Pinson added 11 points, nine boards and two dimes.

Prediction:

With the way Kentucky is playing right now, I just can't see Mizzou keeping up. The Tigers are barely in the top 100 and have lost three of their last six games by double figures. None of those opponents are even close to as talented as the Wildcats. It seems the loss to LSU refocused UK and I don't see that stopping after just one win.
