Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Horned Frogs are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Cowboys. The total, meanwhile, sits at 142 points and as of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Horned Frogs to cover the point spread.
TCU Horned Frogs Quotable
"We got careless with the ball late in the game," TCU freshman point guard Kendric Davis said following the Horned Frogs’ 71-62 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners. "When we were getting stops, we gave away like I want to say three of them to either a bad shot or a turnover."
Oklahoma State Cowboys Quotable
"That's kind of a moving target. I put a walk-on on scholarship, but he broke his foot," Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton said following the Cowboys’ 69-57 loss to Texas. "(Texas) has players who weren't even dressed that could start for us ... I still sense a very frustrated group that feels like it cannot win."
NCAA College Basketball Betting Trends
TCU
The Horned Frogs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall and have dropped 10 of their last 11 road games at the betting window when playing a team with a losing home record.
Oklahoma State
The Cowboys are 2-10 against the number in their last 12 home games and 5-16 against the spread in their last 21 games overall.
Prediction
When Thomas Dziagwa isn’t connecting from 3-point range, the Cowboys have very little working for them offensively. They were just 12-of-30 inside the arc against the Longhorns in their last game and finished 9-of-18 from the free throw line. Dziagwa struggled in this area as well, posting a dreadful 0-for-6 when he wasn’t shooting from long range. With Kouat Noi on the bench with a boot on his left ankle, TCU was just ninefor-32 from 3-point range against Oklahoma. Thus, I expect the Horned Frogs to get the ball down low tonight and win in the paint. And with Boynton’s squad lacking confidence, this is a small price to lay on a TCU team that should be motivated to end its two-game losing skid.
