Horned Frogs drop fifth straight

Texas Christian lost 60-46 at home Saturday against Kansas to drop to 13-10 overall and 4-6 in Big 12 Conference play. The Horned Frogs trailed 31-18 at halftime and were unable to recover. Desmond Bane paced TCU with 20 points on 8-of-19 shooting including 2-of-8 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also racked up five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocked shots. R.J. Nembhard contributed 11 points, three dimes, two boards and two steals. P.J. Fuller added 10 points in 22 minutes off the bench.

Red Raiders rally past Longhorns

Texas Tech rallied back to down host Texas Saturday afternoon by a count of 62-57 to improve to 15-8 overall and 6-4 in conference action. The Red Raiders outscored the Longhorns 43-26 in the second half after trailing by 12 at halftime. Jahmius Ramsey led Texas Tech with 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting including 2-of-2 from 3-point range plus 4-of-6 at the charity stripe. He also recorded two steals. Terrence Shannon Jr. accounted for 13 points and six rebounds. Kyler Edwards added 10 points in 35 minutes of action.

Prediction:

The issue here is how big the spread is here as covering a double-digit spread no matter the venue is not the easiest task. The Horned Frogs also already defeated Texas Tech 65-54 at home, so asking a complete reversal for Texas Tech here seems a bit steep of a task. Texas Christian is fairly good defensively and have the ability to make a game ugly, so I'm banking on the visitors giving Texas Tech another difficult challenge tonight.
