Kevin McCullar totaled 19 points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 12-15 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday’s 77-64 win over Texas. McCullar led all scorers in what was a great performance for the Red Raiders in Chris Beard’s homecoming. This was actually the first time McCullar had scored in double figures since Jan. 11 against Baylor. The do-it-all junior is now putting up 10.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.1 three-pointers per contest this season.
West Virginia Mountaineers Game Notes
Taz Sherman is in concussion protocol according to coach Bob Huggins, Nick Farrell of WVIllustrated.com reports. There wasn’t much of an update from coach Huggins on Thursday. He mentioned that nothing was definitive yet in regards to Sherman’s status for Saturday’s game against Texas Tech. We should know more as game-time draws closer.
