Notre Dame vs. North Carolina Pick

CBB Predictions: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

After being pushed back a day, No. 12 North Carolina will now host to No. 20 Notre Dame today at 1PM ET from the Greensboro Coliseum.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is favored in this game, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -8.5 points against Notre Dame. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 157 points. North Carolina has won and covered the spread in its last two meetings with Notre Dame.

Bet on Notre Dame vs. North Carolina

North Carolina has won eight of its last nine coming into today’s game to get to 20-4 overall and 8-2 in the ACC. The Tar Heels have failed to cover in their last two games and are 11-10-1 against the spread. UNC is 8-3 ATS at home, though this is now technically not a home game. UNC is putting up 87.3 points per game on offense this season while allowing 71.8. Justin Jackson is leading the team with 18.7 points per game while Joel Berry II is adding 15 points per game. Kennedy Meeks also chips in with 12.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest.

Notre Dame is struggling right now, losing and failing to cover in three straight. The Fighting Irish are 17-6 overall and 6-4 in the ACC while going 10-6-1 against the spread. The Irish are averaging 78.8 points per game on offense while allowing 68.1 on defense. Benzie Colson is averaging 15.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game to lead the team while VJ Beachem is adding 14.8 points per contest.

Notre Dame just hasn’t been the same team it was for about two weeks now. They are averaging just 70 points over their last five games and have lost four of their last five. While this game is no longer at UNC, I still think the Heels should be fine to cover. They will still have the crowd support and their offense should be able to overpower the Irish.
