Red Raiders down Mountaineers
Texas Tech earned an 89-81 home victory Wednesday night over West Virginia to improve to 13-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Red Raiders outscored the Mountaineers 47-43 in the second half to secure the win. Davide Moretti led Texas Tech with 25 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 4-of-5 from 3-point range plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also tallied two assists and two steals. Terrence Shannon Jr. accounted for 23 points, seven boards, four assists and two steals. Jahmius Ramsey registered 21 points, five caroms and two blocked shots. T.J. Holyfield added 11 points, five rebounds and four blocked shots.
Jayhawks ease past Cowboys
Kansas rolled to a 65-50 win Monday night at Oklahoma State to move to 17-3 overall and 6-1 in the Big 12 Conference. The Jayhawks outscored the Cowboys 36-26 at halftime en route to the victory. Christian Braun led Kansas with 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also notched nine rebounds and two steals. Isaiah Moss tallied 13 points in 25 minutes of action off the bench. Devon Dotson added 11 points, three dimes and two boards.
College Basketball Betting Trends
The Red Raiders are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games. Texas Tech is 2-5 ATS in its last seven road games.
The Jayhawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The home team is 22-9 ATS in its last 31 meetings.
Kansas has the second-rated defense nationally and while the Red Raiders have an elite defense of their own, the visitors' offense lags behind. On the road in a hostile environment, I don't see Texas Tech manufacturing enough offense to keep up. The home team has been dominant in this series and I expect the same in this spot.
