Pat Spencer tallied 13 points, five boards and four assists. Boo Buie added 10 points and two dimes off the bench.

Michigan State secured a 70-52 victory Sunday afternoon at Minnesota to improve to 15-5 overall and 7-2 in conference action. The Spartans outscored the Golden Gophers 40-30 in the second half to pull away. Cassius Winston paced MSU with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting iincluding 3-of-5 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the charity stripe. He also recorded eight assists and four rebounds. College Basketball Betting Trends

Michigan State

The Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The road team is 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings.

The Spartans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. Michigan State is 47-23-1 ATS in its last 71 home games.

So we know who the much better team is in this matchup, but the Spartans only beat the Wildcats 77-72 on the road and Northwestern has not lost a game by more than 14 points all season (58-44 at Purdue). Michigan State could be in a situation where its attention is already on a tough game at Wisconsin Saturday. I see the Wildcats providing enough of a challange to stay within 17 at the very least.
