Cardinals win sixth in a row

Louisville rolled to an 80-62 home win Saturday over Clemson to improve to 17-3 overall and 8-1 in the ACC. The Cardinals established a 47-26 halftime advantage en route to the victory. Darius Perry paced Louisville with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 5-of-6 from 3-point range. He also grabbed five rebounds. Samuell Williamson accounted for 14 points in 25 minutes off the bench. Steven Enoch tallied 11 points and seven boards. Jordan Nwora added 10 points, five caroms and two assists.

Eagles get past Hokies

Boston College earned a 61-56 home victory Saturday afternoon over Virginia Tech to move to 10-10 overall and 4-5 in conference play. The Eagles outscored the Hokies 35-25 in the second half after trailing by five at the break. Jairus Hamilton led Boston College with 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 5-of-7 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down eight rebounds. Jay Heath added 15 points, six boards and two steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Louisville

The Cardinals are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win. The over is 6-2 in the last eight Louisville road games.

Boston College

The Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a winning straight up record. Boston College is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games following a straight up win.

Prediction:

While this spread is a bit tricky, the Eagles did lose by 19 at home to Georgia Tech not too long ago. Louisville has the ability to frustrate an opponent on both ends of the floor and does have a 13-point win at Miami in its season opener to its credit. The Cardinals are playing great basketball right now and recently won in overtime at Duke you might remember. I think this one has the makings of a blowout as Boston College really struggles offensively and if it falls behind early, will struggle to catch up.
