Buckeyes end five-game skid
Ohio State earned a 70-60 victory at Nebraska Saturday to snap its losing streak and improve to 13-6 overall plus 3-5 in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes jumped out to a 29-24 halftime advantage and continued to keep control in the second half. Luther Muhammad paced OSU with 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 3-of-4 shooting plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also contributed six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Andre Wesson tallied 10 points and three rebounds. C.J. Jackson added 10 points, four boards, four assists and two steals. The Buckeyes shot 24-of-58 from the field, 9-of-27 from 3-point range plus 13-of-18 at the free throw line.
Wolverines dominate at Indiana
Michigan raced out to a 17-0 lead Friday night en route to a 69-46 victory at the Hoosiers. The Wolverines (19-1, 8-1 Big Ten) led by a commanding 33-18 halftime advantage on its way to the lopsided win. Michigan shot 25-of-58 from the floor, 10-of-29 from 3-point range and 9-of-12 at the free throw line. Ignas Brazdeikis led U-M with 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds. Zavier Simpson tallied 12 points, six boards and five assists. Jon Teske registered 11 points, three rebounds and two blocked shots. Charles Matthews added 10 points, 11 rebounds and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Ohio State
The Buckeyes are 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus the Big Ten. Ohio State is 2-6 ATS in its last eight road games versus a team with a winning home record.
Michigan
The Wolverines are 0-4 ATS in their last four Tuesday games. Michigan is 26-9-1 ATS in its last 36 Big Ten games.
Prediction:
I don’t think one win over a Nebraska team that lost a key player to injury during the game automatically ends the Buckeyes’ struggles. Michigan had a couple games where it didn’t play up to its standards, but absolutely smashed Indiana on the road and looks to be back to where it was only a couple weeks ago. Expect U-M to take this game very seriously and beat its rivals by enough to cover this spread.
