Bruins edge Beavers

UCLA secured a 62-58 victory Thursday night at Oregon State to improve to 10-9 overall and 3-3 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Bruins led 27-24 at halftime and held on after the break. Chris Smith paced UCLA with 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting plus 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He also accounted for three rebounds and three blocked shots. Jaime Jaquez Jr. tallied 14 points, four steals and two boards. Jules Bernard added 11 points and four caroms off the bench.

Ducks down Trojans in double OT

Oregon earned a 79-70 double overtime home win Thursday night over USC to move to 16-4 overall and 5-2 in conference action. The Ducks were outscored 32-30 in the second half as it went into the extra session at 62-62, while it went into the second OT at 67-67 before Oregon outscored the Trojans 12-3 over those five minutes. Chris Duarte paced Oregon with 30 points on 9-of-20 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point distance plus 9-of-13 at the charity stripe. He also registered 11 rebounds, eight steals and two blocked shots. Payton Pritchard added 24 points, seven assists, two boards and two steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Bruins are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. UCLA is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall.

The Ducks are 6-0 ATS in their last six Sunday games. Oregon is 23-8 ATS in its last 31 games overall.

My only worry here with Oregon is being a bit fatigued after the double OT win only three days ago, but the difference should be minimal considering the Bruins also played Thursday and had to grind out a win. UCLA struggles defensively and Oregon is ranked sixth nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency. The Ducks have been great for bettors over the last couple of seasons and I see another spot to jump on here for what should be a decisive victory.
