Louisville vs. Pitt Prediction
Following its fourth loss of the season, is Louisville a good bet to cover as a road favorite at Pittsburgh tonight at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are now 5.5-point home underdogs versus the Cardinals after opening as a 6.5-point dog. As for the total, the number hit the board at 145.5 but has been bet down to 144.
Florida State snapped Louisville's four-game winning streak with a 73-68 win on Saturday. Tony Hicks led the Cardinals with 16 points and three rebounds, while Deng Adel racked up 12 points, six rebounds and two assists. Jaylen Johnson was 4-of-5 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the line in a 10-point effort.
The Panthers are having a rough go of things, losing four straight and five of their last six. Their latest defeat came at NC State, which ousted the Panthers 79-74 as a 2.5-point home favorite. Pittsburgh also has home losses to Notre Dame and Miami, as well as road defeats at Louisville and at Syracuse over its last six games. The Panthers did cover as an 11-point road underdog against the Cardinals in Louisville earlier this month.
OUR PREDICTION: The Cardinals are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games in Pittsburgh and have covered in four of the last five meetings versus the Panthers. The favorite is also 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the road squad has covered in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams.
