Spartans shut down Badgers

Michigan State downed visiting Wisconsin Friday night by a score of 67-55 to improve to 14-4 overall and 6-1 in Big Ten Conference action. The Spartans led 35-20 at halftime on their way to the win. Xavier Tillman paced MSU with 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting plus 3-of-6 from the free throw line. He also accounted for nine rebounds and four assists. Aaron Henry tallied 13 points, five boards and three assists. Gabe Brown accounted for 13 points and four caroms. Rocket Watts added 11 points, three rebounds and three dimes.

Hoosiers run past Cornhuskers

Indiana earned an 82-74 victory Saturday at Nebraska to move to 14-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Hoosiers led 46-41 at halftime on their way to the triumph. Trayce Jackson-Davis paced Indiana with 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting plus 6-of-8 at the charity stripe. He also racked up 13 rebounds and four assists. Joey Brunk tallied 16 points, five boards, two assists and two blocked shots. Justin Smith added 15 points, seven caroms and two assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Michigan State

The Spartans are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. Michigan State is 45-20-1 ATS in its last 66 Wednesday games.

The Hoosiers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog. Indiana is 1-4 ATS in its last five Thursday games.

The Spartans have played six of their last seven games at home and covered all six at the Breslin Center, but the one road game was an embarrassing 71-42 defeat at Purdue. Michigan State has still only played three true road games all season and while it won the other two contests, both of those games were close. Indiana has been pretty solid as of late and I could see an upset in the cards here, but I'll at least take the points with the hosts.
