Hokies crush Hawks

Virginia Tech cruised to a 92-37 win Sunday night at home over Maryland Eastern Shore to improve to 10-3 overall and 8-1 at home. The Hokies led 45-22 at halftime and continued to pour it on after the break. Landers Nolley II paced Virginia Tech with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 3-of-8 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also registered 10 rebounds and three assists. Hunter Cattoor contributed 17 points off the bench to go with four rebounds. John Ojiako tallied 15 points, eight caroms and three blocked shots as a reserve. College Basketball Betting Trends

Virginia Tech

The Hokies are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The road team is 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings.

The favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Virginia is 1-6 ATS in its last seven home games.

Virginia has taken a step back this season as it is still the best defensive team in the country, but not even in the same league as far as offensive efficiency goes. With what is expected to be a low-scoring game against a rival in which every bucket is of utmost importance, there is a good chance the Cavs struggle to get those shots to go when needed the most. Virginia Tech is being given enough points here for me to want to lay a wager on it as it has already beaten the likes of Michigan State straight up this season.
