Bulldogs roll by 30

Georgia raced to a 78-48 home victory over Austin Peay Monday night to improve to 9-3 overall and 8-0 at home. The Bulldogs outscored the Governors 47-22 in the second half of the triumph. Rayshaun Hammonds led Georgia with 17 points on 8-of-12 from the field including 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also pulled down six rebounds. Donnell Gresham Jr. added 11 points and four boards.

Tigers get by Green Wave

Memphis earned an 84-73 win at home Monday night over Tulane to improve to 12-1 overall and 8-0 at home. The Tigers led 40-30 at halftime on their way to the victory. Lester Quinones paced Memphis with 16 points off the bench on 6-of-11 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range. He also tallied three rebounds and two assists. Damion Baugh recorded 15 points to go with six assists and four boards. Precious Achiuwa accounted for 14 points and 10 caroms. D.J. Jeffries contributed 14 points, eight dimes, seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Tyler Harris added 12 points in 24 minutes off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Bulldogs are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games. Georgia is 1-5 ATS in its last six games following an ATS win.

The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. Memphis is 15-6 ATS in its last 21 Saturday games.

The Tigers have benefited from a fairly weak schedule and lost their toughest challenge in an 82-74 semi-away loss at Oregon. But there is also something to be said for Memphis playing with a ton of confidence right now. Even so, the hosts will see a Georgia team today that is one of the better squads it has faced this season. The Bulldogs are battle-tested with two of their three losses to very good squads in Dayton and Michigan State. I see Georgia staying within the spread today and will be betting accordingly.
