BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -Divaldo Mbunga scored 16 points to help Montana State overcome a sluggish first half and defeat Great Falls 78-66 on Monday night.
Branden Johnson and Danny Piepoli added 14 points apiece for the Bobcats (3-2), who led 31-30 at halftime.
MSU outscored the Argos 9-2 to open the second half and went on a 15-3 run to take a 64-44 lead with 8:18 to play on two free throws by Johnson. Great Falls never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Rayshaun Ames had 16 points and forward Matt Niemeyer added 14 for Great Falls (3-9). B.J. Meridyth finished with 12 points, all in the first half.
