CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Dominique Jones scored 28 points and South Florida beat North Carolina-Wilmington 74-66 on Sunday in the third round of the Charleston Classic.
The Bulls (4-1) led by as many as 12 points in the second half, and had a 37-32 lead at halftime after closing the half on an 11-1 run. Augustus Gilchrist added 14 points for the Bulls, all in the second half.
John Fields led UNC-Wilmington (1-4) with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Chad Tomko also scored 17.
USF managed 28 points off 18 UNC-Wilmington turnovers. The Bulls shot 56 percent from the field in the first half versus a 51.9 percent mark for UNC-Wilmington.
