GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -Jon DeRock had seven 3-pointers and 24 points as Southwest Minnesota State beat North Dakota 78-73 to stay unbeaten.
The Mustangs (4-0) made 10 of 23 3-point attempts. DeRock was 7-for-9.
Nick Dale added 13 points and Taylor Huseby chipped in 11.
Daniel Harkins scored a career-high 23 points on 10-for-18 shooting for the Fighting Sioux (1-1), who are in the first year of transition from Division II to Division I.
Darius Joseph was just 2-for-10 from the field but made nine of 10 free throws to finish with 14 points for UND.
SMSU trailed 31-29 at half, but took the lead for good 39-37 on a DeRock 3-pointer with 15:02 left.
