MADISON, Wis. (AP) -Wisconsin freshman Jeremy Glover has been kicked off the men’s basketball team after being arrested last week on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.
The 18-year-old Glover and teammate Diamond Taylor were suspended from the team after campus police say they responded to a call of an attempted burglary at a dorm on Sept. 6.
Authorities say they saw the two leaving the building, and confiscated iPods, a cell phone and more than $400 in cash. Glover is scheduled to appear in Dane County Circuit Court on Monday.
Athletic Board chairman Walter Dickey said Glover was dismissed for violating the student-athlete discipline policy.
A school spokesman said Wednesday he couldn’t comment on Taylor’s status.
