One of the hottest teams in the Big Ten Conference entering the postseason is the Wisconsin Badgers.

Bet 2010 NCAA Tournament

Always a player in the NCAA Tournament under coach Bo Ryan, the Badgers have won at least one NCAA Tournament game in seven of the last eight seasons. Despite tournament success, the Badgers haven’t reached the Final Four since 2000, before Ryan came on the scene. This year, Ryan has led Wisconsin to a No. 13 ranking in the country. Wisconsin is 23-7 overall and 13-5 in the Big Ten.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given Wisconsin 50/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament while also giving them 3/1 odds to win the Big Ten Tournament.

The Badgers have five wins over ranked opponents this year including Michigan State, Duke, and Purdue, Ohio State, and Maryland. Wisconsin has not lost back-to-back games this season and end the regular season with four straight wins.

To nobody’s surprise, the Badgers lead the Big Ten in scoring defense, holding opponents to 56.1 points per-game. Wisconsin ranks second in scoring margin at +11.8 and first in free throw percentage at .739. The Badgers are also efficient with the ball, posting a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio, which is second in the Big Ten.

Leading Wisconsin this season has been Trevon Hughes, who scores 15.4 points per-game while also picking up 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists with 1.6 steals per-contest. Jon Leuer has contributed 14.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per-game in 21 games of action while Jason Bohannon and Jordan Taylor each average over 10 points per-game.
