The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament gets under way Friday and the odds are out for which team will win the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The 2010 MAAC Tournament takes place from the Times Union Center in

is heavily favored to win again.

a 2/5 favorite to win the MAAC Tournament. Other short odds to win are
Fairfield (5/2), Iona (6/1), and

St. Peters
(13/2).


Siena
has won four tournament titles in school history and holds a 24-6 record overall and a 17-1 mark in the MAAC.
Siena’s lone conference loss came against
Niagara on Feb. 12. They will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament.


Fairfield
has won two MAAC Tournaments, but the last win came in 1993. The Stags will be the No. 2 seed after going 13-5 in conference play and 20-9 overall.
Fairfield has won four of its last five games but has lost its two meetings with

Siena
.

Iona has won seven MAAC Tournament titles, the most of any school. Their last title came in 2006. The Gaels are 21-9 on the season and 12-6 in the MAAC. They will be the third seed in the tournament. They have lost four games against the other top three seeded teams.


St. Peters
has won two MAAC Tournament titles with the last coming in 1995. The Peacocks are 16-13 overall and 11-7 in conference play. They have the fourth seed for the tournament. They have lost three of their last five games.
