Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given Georgia Tech 75/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament while also giving them 15/1 odds to win the ACC Tournament.
Georgia Tech holds three wins over ranked opponents, including a win over Duke, 71-67 on Jan. 9. Georgia Tech has struggled as of late, losing six of their last nine games.
The Yellowjackets rank third in the ACC in field goal percentage at .461 and rank among the top half of the ACC in most offensive categories. Two areas of concern for Georgia Tech are free throw percentage (.654), where Tech ranks 11th in the ACC, and assist-to-turnover ratio (0.9), where the Yellowjackets rank 10th.
Georgia Tech has been led this season by Gani Lawal, a forward that averages 13.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per-game. Forward Derrick Favors is posting 11.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per-game while guard Iman Shumpert is scoring 10 points and dishing out four assists per-game. Favors is shooting 60 percent from the field on the year while Lawal is 52.7 percent from the field.
