SAN ANTONIO (AP) -San Antonio Spurs guard Beno Udrih broke his finger in training camp on Thursday and will be limited for a few weeks.
Udrih will wear a cast while his left index finger heals, and probably won’t be able to do much for three or four weeks, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
Udrih’s role on the team decreased last season because veteran Jacque Vaughn took over as backup point guard to Tony Parker. Udrih is beginning his fourth season with the Spurs. Last season he averaged 4.7 points in 73 games.
