LINCOLN CITY, Ore. (AP) -Former Portland Trail Blazer center Kevin Duckworth died while on a trip to the Oregon Coast to host a free basketball clinic. He was 44.
The Lincoln County sheriff’s office confirmed the death. He died Monday.
The 7-foot Duckworth was a starter for the Trail Blazers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and a Western Conference All-Star in 1989 and 1991.
Duckworth retired from the NBA in 1997 after a season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
