Kevin Martin found out just how much easier life is when you’re playing next to a couple of stars in Oklahoma City.
Now he’s hoping Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio will have the same effect in Minnesota.
Martin comes to the Timberwolves after one season as a reserve for the Thunder. After being a featured scorer for most of his career, Martin took a backseat to Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City.
He says the experience taught him that he never wants to play on a team without superstars in place again.
Martin believes that Love already has asserted himself as a star and Rubio is on his way there. That made the decision for him to sign a four-year deal with the Wolves an easy one.
