CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The Charlotte Bobcats assigned rookie forward Jermareo Davidson to Sioux Falls of the NBA Development League on Thursday.
Davidson, a second-round pick in the draft, has played in only 16 of the team’s 42 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds. He’s expected to play in Sioux Falls’ game on Friday.
Bobcats coach Sam Vincent had talked about sending Davidson to the minor leagues to get more playing time, but had been reluctant because of the Bobcats’ lack of depth in the frontcourt.
Davidson averaged 14 points and 8.2 rebounds as a senior last season at Alabama.
