Saturday’s NBA Daily Fantasy Picks
The Eastern Conference Finals shift to Cleveland tonight for Game 3 between the Cavs and the Boston Celtics. Which players should you consider for your Daily Fantasy Team?
In a single game format on DraftKings, players get to selection six options at any position with a $50,000 budget. The winning total from Game 2 was around 201 points thanks to LeBron’s big performance. Here’s the six we like tonight.
Cavs’ LeBron James, $18,900: He is going to cost you nearly 40 percent of your salary, but you can’t avoid LeBron tonight with the Cavs in a must-win situation. James put up 78.5 fantasy points in Game 2 and that was while sitting for a good part of the fourth quarter. He had a triple-double with 42 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. He is going to have to have another big game tonight as well.
Celtics’ Jayson Tatum, $10,900: Tatum is the Celtic I feel the best about as he has been the most consistent on the road. Boston hasn’t been a tremendous road team in the playoffs, but Tatum has put up at least 32 fantasy points in his last three road playoff games. Tatum doesn’t need scoring to have a nice fantasy total, so I think he will continue to put up a nice number.
Celtics’ Marcus Morris, $7,500: Morris also has played pretty well on the road and he seems to have a fire under him for this series since he is dealing with LeBron a lot. His minutes are strong and I think he is a player that can contend for a double-double like he did in Game 1.
Cavs’ Kyle Korver, $4,700: The Cavs know that Korver has been a key for them to winning. He has scored at least 25 fantasy points in three of their last four victories in the postseason. Cleveland needs to get him going from the arc and I think it happens tonight in Game 3.
Cavs’ George Hill, $4,200: Hill can be frustrating because he plays a lot, but seems to be very inactive on offense. However, his best fantasy performances have come at home this year and you need some tweener players to come through for your when you have LeBron taking up so much salary. Given the minutes he plays, I will go with Hill to hopefully breakthrough tonight.
Cavs’ J.R. Smith, $3,800: Smith has been putrid in this series and had a really dirty foul late in Game 2. He has had to hear about how worthless he has been the last three days and I think that will lead to him having a bounce-back effort tonight at home. Smith still gets a lot of minutes and he has had multiple playoff games in the 27-32 fantasy-point range this year.
