2010 NBA Finals Odds
The 2009-2010 NBA Season is right around the corner and with that, oddsmakers have released futures odds to win the 2010 NBA Finals.
Fresh off their 2009 NBA Finals Championship, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers once again find themselves as favorites to win this year’s title. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Lakers 2/1 favorites to win the 2010 NBA Finals.
Right on the Lakers’ heels are the Boston Celtics at 9/2 and the Orlando Magic at 8/1. Largely due to Kevin Garnett’s injury, the Celtics weren’t able to repeat as NBA Finals champions last year, but with a healthy KG once again joining Paul Pierce, Boston will give it another go this year.
Orlando lost Hedo Turkoglu to the Toronto Raptors (75/1) this offseason, but added Vince Carter to take his place. With Carter, Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis, the Magic should make a run at this year’s title.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are also one of the short-range favorites at 10/3 after adding center Shaquille O’Neal this offseason. O’Neal will definitely give the Cavs a much-needed big man down in the paint to go along with LeBron James’ incredible athletic ability.
A team to watch out for is the San Antonio Spurs, who have been given 15/2 odds to win this year. The Spurs added small forward Richard Jefferson this offseason, which will make Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili better. The team also added solid depth in Antonio McDyess and DeJuan Blair.
Some intriguing long shots are the Chicago Bulls at 48/1, the Houston Rockets at 30/1 and the Dallas Mavericks at 30/1.
